How good is your dog food?
An unbalanced dog diet with too many additives, low-quality proteins and too high a fat content is harmful to your dog.

Start your feeding routine now
The first day
Day 1
A special moment for your dog: Their first contact with our food is the start of a healthier life. Their enthusiasm when eating immediately shows that not only the quality is top-notch, but the taste is too!

Transition phase (days 1-14)
Day 1 - 14
During the first two weeks, your four-legged friend's digestive tract adapts to the high-quality nutrient supply. The gut builds up a healthy bacterial flora, which can lead to temporarily softer stools in about 10% of dogs—a positive sign of renewal. After this phase, previous digestive problems such as flatulence or regular diarrhea will be a thing of the past.

Changes (days 14-21)
Day 14 - 21
After two weeks, the effects of the high-quality ingredients become apparent: Thanks to the omega-3 fatty acids, the coat gains a silky shine and a smooth texture. Starting in the third week, you'll also notice a noticeable change in behavior—your dog will become more balanced, as we deliberately avoid fillers like corn that can affect behavior.

Health
From day 21
With the new feeding routine, you have created the basis for a long-term healthy and vital dog life.
- Healthy coat - silky shine through fatty acids
- Vitality - Strong immune system, stable joints, lots of energy
- Balance - Concentration and relaxation through pure ingredients

“Food without compromise” – We want more dogs to have a healthy diet!
At Alpenwuff we are proud to be a family-run business , founded by the dedicated siblings Lea and Justus Reich .
She and the entire team share a passion for the health and well-being of dogs . Their love for animals is reflected in every decision and, of course, in every aspect of our cold-pressed dog food and our products.
Our inspiration and loyal companions, Calu and Strumpfi , are the heartbeat of Alpenwuff .
After Strumpfi's much too early death in 2017, Calu's persistent diarrhea and the emerging realization that poor quality feeding had played a not insignificant part in this, we started to develop a food that does many things differently and, above all, better .
As part of our family, they have inspired us to develop dog food that meets the highest standards .
Our love for our dogs Calu and Strumpfi drove us to search for better food options .
We realized that, upon closer inspection, many products fail to meet basic quality standards. This is despite the fact that there are already so many types of food available.
Especially when it comes to labeling , various manufacturers make it very easy: They remain vague in their descriptions of the ingredients and use legally permitted umbrella terms to mix various types of meat and animal parts. For example, " meat and animal by-products " (which can be ANYTHING from ANY animal) or even "animal meal" (which also includes hooves, claws, blood, and fur) are often listed in the ingredients. These are all ingredients that are far removed from the meat we actually want to feed.
With a slight sense of horror in our stomachs, we quickly decided: Our food would be completely transparent with regard to the ingredients - we would make an open declaration .
Our industry-leading declaration , combined with selected ingredients , regional production and low temperatures during preparation, result in our high-quality cold-pressed dry food and our carefully developed (organic) wet food.
Our goal is to promote the long-term health, well-being and vitality of all our dogs through healthy nutrition.
Since our founding in 2021, we at Alpenwuff have come an exciting way.
After intensive product development, we launched our first poultry feed at the end of 2022 and established our partnerships with veterinarians and dog trainers (our ambassadors).
In February 2023, the move to our current 400 sqm warehouse and shipping facility became necessary and the team continued to grow.
Due to high demand for a hypoallergenic and sustainable food, the second food we developed was an insect food in April 2023. We then continued to develop other varieties requested by you step by step: Lamb food was added in October 2023, the first puppy food in June 2024, three suitable (organic) wet foods in October 2024, and beef food in December 2024. It is always important to us to proceed carefully and step by step in development.
We continue to work continuously on our products to ensure that your trust in Alpenwuff is always justified. You can be excited about what awaits you in 2025 , and we look forward to continuing this journey with you and your dogs!
We want more dogs to have a healthy diet! Therefore, since 2021, we have been working hard to raise awareness of their responsibility to provide healthy, high-quality food for their dogs .
Our experiences with a painful cancer diagnosis in our Labrador, Strumpfi, after years of poor nutrition, and the recurring diarrhea in our Calu over months, motivate us every day to share our story with the world and educate people about healthy nutrition.
Looking back, we can say we would have done a few things differently. Today, we want to pass on this knowledge and, with Alpenwuff, offer high-quality nutritional solutions for your dog. And even if we don't have anything suitable for you, we're happy to advise you!
Today we can proudly say: Over 5,000 dogs now enjoy Calu's food every day – and their happy owners trust our quality.

We are always there for you.

The " open declaration " in the context of dog food refers to the transparent disclosure of information about the composition of the food in terms of the individual ingredients and their processed quantities.
"Open declaration" means that we transparently list all ingredients and their exact percentages in Alpenwuff food. So you always know exactly what's in every bag of Alpenwuff.
An open declaration serves to give pet owners clear information about the food so they can make informed decisions about their daily diet. By reading the declaration, pet owners can determine which main ingredients are contained in the food. This helps to rule out allergens, evaluate the quality of a food, and develop an understanding of a dog's behavior. For example, if a food consists primarily of corn, this is often reflected in its behavior. An open declaration therefore makes it possible to ensure that the food meets the dog's individual needs and promotes its health. In addition, the declaration ideally includes information about the manufacturer and the manufacturing process, which creates confidence in the product quality and traceability of the raw materials.
The comparison between extruded and cold-pressed dog food can be shown using several aspects that illustrate the advantages of cold-pressed food:
- Gentle manufacturing process: Cold-pressed feed is produced at lower temperatures (60°C). In contrast, extruded feed is produced at high temperatures (up to 200°C), resulting in a greater loss of natural nutrients, especially heat-sensitive vitamins and oils.
- Better nutrient preservation: The gentle manufacturing process helps to better preserve the natural nutrients of the ingredients, similar to steam cooking. Due to the gentle temperatures, natural vitamins and nutrients in cold-pressed food remain largely intact.
- Better digestibility: Cold-pressed food breaks down quickly into its components in the dog's stomach and doesn't bloat upon contact with liquid like most extruded food briquettes. Thus, the nutrients are quickly accessible and digestible. The easier digestibility of cold-pressed food can help dogs experience fewer digestive problems. This can lead to less bloating and a more satisfied dog overall.
Our dry food is gently cold-pressed at low temperatures to preserve its nutrients. The cold press reaches a maximum temperature of approximately 60°C.
Yes, our food is characterized by regional production and, where possible, regional ingredients. We support local farmers and suppliers to ensure the quality of our products and keep transport routes short for sustainability.
